Gugulethu Square Shopping Centre, Western Cape (Completed October 2009)

This project was a nominee for the 2010 SAOPA Innovative Excellence Project Awards.

Profica was appointed the Development and Project Managers for the this 27 000 m² Shopping Centre in Gugulethu.  Involved from inception, Profica sucessfully delivered this new build shopping centre on a brown fields site for opening on time in October 2009.

Gugulethu Square Shopping has been used as a sample project to help shape the Green Star rating tool to be applied to shopping centres by the Green Building Council of South Africa.

   

Soweto Retail Mall, Soweto (Planning & Design stages) 

Redevelopment of an existing power station into a new 40,000m²  Retail mall in Soweto, Johannesburg.  Developer and Leasing Agent:  Mark Brown of TBG and Development & Project Managers - Profica.

     
   

Swazi Plaza, Swaziland (Current)

Profica – TBG JV were appointed for the development and redevelopment of the 30,000m² Swazi Plaza shopping centre in Mbabane, Swaziland

     
    The Glen - Big Box Extension, Alberton (Completed October 2009)

Profica was appointed as Project Managers for the extension of an additional 20 000 m² retail space and an additional    40 000 m² of parking space.

A highly complex and technically challenging project that was delivered 5 months early.

     
    Setsing Shopping Centre, Phuthaditjaba - (Completed December 2009)

Profica was appointed as Project Managers and succesfully completed the extensions to the Setsing Shopping centre with the opeing of a 4,500m² Game store in December 2009.

     
   

The Glen - Edgars Extension and Mezzanine Parking Deck (Completed 2007)
Profica appointed as Project Managers for and extension to the existing Edgars and a new Mezzanine parking deck. The project consisted of two areas of work, the first being the extension of the existing Edgars by 2000m². The parking lot consisted of a new parking deck (90 bays) to be placed between the lower basement and the upper level parking

 
     
   

Randfontein Station Retail Development (Completed 2007)

Profica appointed as Project Managers and Tenant Coordinators for the 13,000 m² retail development at Randfontein railway station. This development is one of the first retail schemes at an existing transport node and makes succesfull use of the commuters.
