Randfontein Station Retail Development Client: Old Mutual Property Group Value: R26m Duration: May 2006 – July 2007 Project Overview This development encompasses a new retail scheme at Randfontein railway station. The works included the creation of a new temporary ticket office and station facilities, the subsequent decant from the old offices to the temporary offices and the construction of a new permanent ticket office and station facilities, which form part of the new retail scheme. The shopping centre is anchored by Shoprite and has a covered and open mall which runs parallel to the existing railway. Profica's Role Profica are appointed as Project Managers and Tenant Co-ordinators on this retail scheme and our role has included the management of all 3rd parties involved in the development and obtaining the requisite approvals. Also the management of the design team and the production of design information for issue to the contractor in a timely manner. The management of all contractor generated design queries and non-compliance issues on site. Provide the key interface between all interested parties, the client, the design team and the contractor through a number of key stakeholder meetings. Client Benefits and Value Adds Facilitating the different interested parties requirements through the project and incorporating these within the design. Managing a strict change control procedure to ensure costs are managed appropriately due to the tight budget constraints and leasing variations. |
