Sonae Novobord Expansion Project, Mpumalanga (Completed - 2007)
Profica was appointed as Project and Construction Managers of this exciting industrial expansion project. The project entailed the design and construction of a new 20,000m² warehousing facility as well as the installation of a new state of the art press line into the new facility. This allowed Sonae Novobord to increase their current capacity whilst increasing the utilisation of the plant’s existing equipment.

Dickinson Projects - Long Meadow Industrial Park (Completed - 2007)
Profica was appointed as Project Managers for the building of four Industrial buildings (3,000m² each.) for various tenants within the Longmeadow Park with an average construction period of 4 months.

Nampak Wiegand Glass Expansion Project, Roodekop (Completed March 2010)
PROFICA undertook the Project Management for the design and construction of a new cullet (glass sorting facility) plant for Nampak Wiegand Glass, the project was completed March 2010. The plant consists of three in-feed hopper bins and associated horizontal and vertical transportation lines to a five storey cullet plant which consists of concrete podium housing the compressor.

The new plan uses a  high-resolution camera system able to recognise a wider glass and bottle colour spectrum, this enables the separation of waste glass remains according to colour, thereby speeding up the recycling process compared separating different colour glass waste by hand.

The plant is also able to separate waste glass from other material as well as clean the sorted waste glass and deliver material that is ready in the manufacture of new glass products. Covering 3,500m², the facility has a production capacity of 24 tons per hour upgradable to 36 tons per hour.Â
