Sonae Novobord Expansion Project Client: Sonae Novobord White River, Mpumalanga Value: R 462 Million – 1st Phase & 2nd Phase Duration: March 2006 – June 2007 Project Overview The project entails the expansion of Sonae Novobords’ current operation in White River. The project will see Sonae Novobord ( a subsidiary of a Portuguese Multinational) with an additional 20 000m2 new factory and warehouse area as well as the installation of a new hot oil press line and associated process equipment in order to increase the factory’s capacity while increasing the utilisation of the plant’s existing equipment. The increase in quality and quantity of particleboard will enable our client to meet their market demands. Profica’s Role Profica’s principle role is to provide the client with professional project and construction management services. Profica have however also been appointed as the project’s quantity surveyors and therefore are offering full cost management services. In both cases our services ensure that our client’s investments and interests are well guarded. Profica has assessed the requirements of the client and structured a team to suit. Key positions have been identified within a management structure to ensure the successful delivery of this project.
