Alice Lane Campus, Sandton Client: Zenprop Property Holdings Value: R 25 Million Duration: March 2006 – December 2006 Project Overview This project entailed the refurbishment of the base building for a 4 storey (10,000m2) building in Sandton. The project also included overseeing the tenant installation which was undertaken by the tenant directly. Profica’s Role To act as the client representative and provide project and construction management services to take this project from inception to completion. Profica was engaged as the principle agent thus managing and being responsible for all aspects of the project including managing all the stakeholders, design, contract administration, construction, close-out and hand-over. Client Benefits/Value Add The project programme was extremely tight as timely completion was an absolute necessity to accommodate the launch of the Virgin Money brand in South Africa. The designs and specifications therefore had to be thought through and finalised prior to construction, with no room for error. In addition to the crucial design management, Profica undertook a construction management role thus tightly managing and programming all the various contractor and trades in order to deliver a quality product on time. |
